It's Hall better now Brad!

Reigning British MX1 champion Brad Anderson finally got the monkey off his back and clinched a sensational Ken Hall Trophy victory at Manor Farm, Langrish, on Bank Holiday Monday, completing an excellent two-days of racing.

Following last year's disappointment, when his tyre came off its rim, this year the PAR Homes Honda rider had no such misfortunes.

"It's good to finally get my name on this trophy. In years to come it will be good to look back and see the name Brad Anderson in amongst such prestigious previous winners," admitted 'Ando', as he proudly held the trophy aloft after the event.

However, the 30-year-old North Eastener didn't have things all his own way, as he was locked in a titanic scrap with Samsung Yamaha's Kristian Whatley over two closely-fought legs.

Following the unique 'Dash for the Cash' event at the start of the day, it was clear that these two would be the main Ken Hall Trophy contenders.

And right from the start of race one they duked it out for the honour of lifting the prestigious Ken Hall Trophy.
As the gate dropped at the start of the opening race they swapped places through the first few turns and as they flew over Mould leap and out of sight, it was Ando who took the early advantage.

Whatley though was not allowing the Honda man out of his sight and shadowed him throughout, keeping the British MX1 champ within striking distance.

However, a small slip after the final uphill jump as they entered the arena at three quarter distance cost 21-year-old Whatley any chance of victory. Anderson took the chequered flag with a comfortable margin.
