JOHN Hillam again showed his dominance in club trials by not making a single mistake at the first Spen Valley Championship trial of 2007. Sponsored by Redhouse Construction and held in beautiful sunshine on the moors above Bingley, the event attracted an excellent entry of 89 riders. John's nearest challen-gers were in the Youth classes. Youth B winner Josh Maude lost a creditable eight while his elder cousin, Jonathan Chambers, took the Youth A victory on 13.
Montesa-mounted Steve Fowler took the win on the well-supported 50/ 50 course for a loss of 18 while Glen Lee, who has just moved from two-stroke Montesa to four-stroke, took the win in the Beginner class on 14.
