AFTER announcing his departure from BMW last week, two-time World and US GNCC champion, David Knight, flew out of Gatwick earlier this week destined for the United States to prepare for this weekend's Grand National Cross Country championship round in West Virginia the Snowshoe GNCC where he is due to race on a Kawasaki.

According to our US sources, the Manxman claims that he has purchased his own bikes and will run his own programme for the rest of the 2009 season.

This will will see him contest various races, possibly including a round or two of the AMA EnduroCross Series, which gets underway next month in Las Vegas.

He is also expected to contest the fifth round of the GB X-Country series next weekend, July 5, at Glanusk Park, Crickhowell, South Wales. It is presumed that he will race similar machinery at that event.
