McCanney Magic

Bel Ray Factory Husqvarnas Jamie McCanney started his 2015 season off perfectly with victory at rounds one and two of the ACU Edmondson Racing British Enduro Championship.
Returning from injury and also changing from the FE 350 to the FE 250 just one day before the event, McCanney rode near faultlessly to lead the charge ahead of some very tough competition.
At home in the sand, day one saw McCanney win four out of the five tests to bring home a 31-second lead ahead of brother Daniel McCanney.
Second place was a three way battle between Daniel, last year's Champion Tom Sagar and Steve Holcombe.
After making a mistake on each of the final two tests, Tom Sagar dropped from second to fourth which gave way to a third place finish for Steve Holcombe at round one.
One of the pre-event favourites, David Knight had to retire early after suffering heavily with his virus just two laps in.
"This isn't the way I wanted to finish day one here in the Lossiemouth Forest,” said Knight.
"It's very frustrating to be feeling this ill, I obviously want to be charging for a win and we have put a lot of effort in to be here but I feel that it could be quite dangerous.
"When I am working hard on the bike I can feel myself going lightheaded and dizzy.
"But I'll be back fit for rounds three and four.”
The Lossiemouth Enduro hosted by Elgin Endurance club is renowned for its tight time checks and tough sandy terrain.
Conditions, although dry were relentless, tiring and unforgiving for every rider.
