Well aware that this event marked the mid-way point of the '10 EWC series and would be an important one, the last thing David Knight was expecting before the start of the GP of Poland was that he'd be heading into round five more than 20 points clear of his nearest rival.

With Gas Gas ace Christophe Nambotin forced out of day one while leading, Knight went on to secure his fifth day win of the series so far despite being less than pleased with his riding. Finishing 20 seconds ahead of team-mate Simone Albergoni, David openly admitted that he'd been lucky that Christophe had failed to finish.
