National Allan Jefferies Trial cancelled

Bradford Motor Club officials cancelled the Allan Jefferies Trophy Trial on Friday afternoon after spending the week course-plotting in Littondale and Wharfedale.
Torrential rain has blanketed the Yorkshire Dales for several weeks, so river and stream levels are impassable.
The moors are sodden and deteriorating by the hour.
Bradford club official, Ron Eddings, managed to make a phone call on a landline from Halton Gill on Friday afternoon and described the conditions as ‘horrendous'.
"The damage to the land, and also parking in general is poor. Too much damage would be done to grazing areas if we ran the event.
