Record-breaking entry for T+MX's Win-A-KTM as Mick Godfrey hits the jackpot!

THE fabulous Trials and Motocross News WIN-A-KTM competition, which was run during the first three issues of 2007, proved a tremendous success with over 3,000 eager entrants. The T+MX postbag has been literally heaving at the seams with WIN-A-KTM entries.

But, there can only be one winner, and the fate of the fabulous KTM200EXC was in the hands of KTM's double British Supermoto champ Matt Winstanley who sportingly motored to sunny Morecambe to complete the draw.

And the result of Matt's handiwork is that the winner is... wait for it... Mr Mick Godfrey of Hertfordshire!

Mick had to sit down for a breather when we called him with the good news on Tuesday and his first words were, "I don't believe it – I never win anything!”

We are pleased to say that the EXC200 is going to a good and appreciative home. Mick is the former owner of an EXC300 and currently runs a KTM 990 Adventure!

He told us that he entered the competition because he fancied another go at off-road competition and the EXC200 seemed to be the perfect bike.

He is a real off-road enthusiast (as expected of a T+MX reader!) and is going to Budds Creek for the Motocross des Nations when it takes place later this year in America.

So hearty congratulations to Mick and at the same time, a big thank you to everyone who entered to make this competition such a success.

Even if you didn't win the EXC200 you may yet come away with a consolation prize because T+MX and KTM UK are working at coming up with some extra prizes in appreciation of the sheer number of entries. Watch this space next week!
