Pontrilas points produce prizes!

CONRAD Mewse is the Red Bull Elite Youth Cup 65cc champion, Ben Watson bagged the Small-wheel crown whilst his PAR Honda teammate Luke Hawkins took the Rookies title at Pontrilas.
After seven rounds of the Youth championship, the first three champions have gone into the history books. The penultimate round of the Red Bull Elite Youth Cup at Pontrilas once again offered up some great racing as the kids went at it, sweeping around the old school Howton Court circuit. The track conditions were ideal, with plenty of lines choice, and deep tacky ruts to sort the men from the boys.
Mewse has dominated the year and it was always a matter of when he was going to win the 65cc championship, not if. Once again, he took control of the weekend from the outset and put himself in position to take the overall and the championship over Sid Evans. Conrad took the first two races, with Sid Evans once again keeping him honest but he couldn't nail down a maximum points haul after being beaten by Evans in the final race on Saturday. He made up for it with two more race wins on the Sunday though to take the crown. Evans followed him home in every race but one, where he was beaten by the ever improving Jake Deacon. David Keet was fourth in every race and unsurprisingly finished fourth overall.
