Super day for the Youth
By TMX Archives on 15th Oct 09

SATURDAY saw the first of the Youth classes take to the deep sand dunes, with glorious sunshine, and some classic battles were had in the Doodson Insurance backed Junior 65cc class. From the start, which had been narrowed due to the tide being held in by the wind, David Keet hit the front as favourite Conrad Mewse took the wrong channel and had to get back into the race further down the long straight
Mewsey showed his class as he hit the front over the dunes and Keet was hard on his heels, behind these two the battles were going all down the field, John Joe Wright, Daniel Knight and little Henry Siddiqui were all in a battle and swapped places several times during the race. Mewse had a fall and could not free the kick start to get going again, letting Keet take the lead, and within a couple of hundred yards the same happened to Keet as he fell after being blocked by a back marker.
