Suzuki launch '08 450

SUZUKI has launched its eagerly awaited all-new 2008 RM-Z450 and this model has all the credentials to set a new standard in the fiercely-contested MX1 class.
In essence, the model is all-new with a freshaluminium chassis (yes, it's lighter and stronger) housing that potent,450cc single-cylinder four-stroke motor that now sports a newfive-speed gearbox replacing the previous four-speeder PLUS aground-breaking electronic fuel-injection (efi) system.
The efi is designed to improve power all-round,particularly aiding ultra-smooth pick-up from low and mid-range andthis, coupled with further engine mods and extra flywheel inertia,ought to add extra power right through the range yet be morecontrollable for the user.
That's the theory. Next week, we'll find out if itall pans out in practice as T+MX's chief MX tester, Johnno White, willbring you his findings after swinging his leg over Suzuki's latestyellow peril in the tough Dutch sand.
