The Greedy Prince in Germany

By TMX Archives on 3rd Dec 10

Motocross

How Greedy can you get? Ashley of that name swept all four SX2 motos at Chemnitz, Germany, at the weekend to be crowned Prince' and establish a huge lead in he ADAC SX series.

American Teddy Maier won SX1 overall even though he didn't win on either night, and Matt Goerke kept the red plate without riding the second night, writes ALEX HODGKINSON.

The key to success in the tight arena was the start and Welsh SX expert, Greedy, took full advantage. Three times he holeshot and held off the challengers for narrow victories, and in the one race he didn't lead from the gate he had the lead by the time he exited turn one after punting series rival, Dennis Ullrich, off the track.

A nervous Ullrich never made top six all weekend and trails the Welsh wizard by a whopping 57-points at the halfway point of the series, but Jack Brunell fared even worse. His chances of the crown he so narrowly missed last winter went up in flames when Jack failed to transfer from afternoon qualification on the opening evening and 6-5 motos on day two sealed his fate.
