Toni Bou Repsol Montesa HRC today continued his dominance of the 2007 SPEA Trial World Championship with his seventh victory at the Grand Prix of Poland, held in the small town of Myslenice some thirty kilometres south of Krakow. Second place went to Adam Raga Gas Gas with Albert Cabestany Sherco earning his first podium position of the year in third place.

The event was set in and around a small riverbedwith very steep banks and turns making up the majority of the sectionsand very little of the large rock steps the riders are more used tofacing. However, this difference in terrain was not to deter Bou.

Toni held a narrow two mark lead over Dougie Lampkin Repsol MontesaHRC at the end of the first lap with Takahisa Fujinami Repsol MontesaHRC and Cabestany tied in third position. Uncharacteristically, Ragafound himself back in fifth position at the half way stage.

With Bou moving up a gear on the second lap, a three way battle was onfor the remaining podium positions between Cabestany, Raga andFujinami. This was a battle, which Fujinami could consider himselfunfortunate to have lost. Raga finished the trial on twenty nine marks, the same score as Fujinami, however the Japanese rider picked up twotime penalties, taking his final score to thirty one. Without those, the most cleans rule would have decided second place and withnineteen cleans to Raga's eighteen, Fujinami would have prevailed.

In the Junior Championship, Matteo Grattarolla Sherco gained hisfirst podium position of the year, with a narrow win. MichaelBrown Beta was second with Alexz Wigg Gas Gas in third place. Brownstill leads the championship with a thirty four point lead over Wiggwho, in turn has a thirteen point margin over Nicolas Gontard Gas Gas.

The Youth Championship saw Alfredo Gomez Gas Gas return to hiswinning ways following his only defeat of the season in Italy lastweekend. Alexandre Ferrer Beta took his first podium place of theseason finishing second with Alexis Cervantes Sherco taking theremaining podium position. Gomez now enjoys a thirty three point leadin the championship over Ross Danby Gas Gas. His podium place todaymeans Alexis Cervantes keeps the pressure on Danby for second place inthe series with the gap now just six points between the two contenders.

The 2007 SPEA Trial World Championship now moves swiftly over theborder to the Czech Republic with the seventh round being held nextweekend, 15th July in Kramolin.
