Villopoto's full of Energy
By TMX Archives on 1st Apr 10

AFTER a disappointing round last week, Monster Energy Kawasaki's Ryan Villopoto showed he's still in the running for the The Monster Energy AMA Supercross, and FIM World Championship title as he claimed his sixth win when the series hit the Jacksonville Municipal Stadium in North Florida. Meanwhile in the Eastern Lites class it was team-mate Christophe Pourcel who extended his grasp on the class with his fourth series win.
Just over 38,000 devoted fans were on site for round 12 to witness Villopoto go head to head with current series leader Ryan Dungey. The night didn't start smoothly for Villopoto, after a crash in practice left him with a broken toe. Deciding to sit out of the second practice, Villopoto was left with a bad gate pick. Despite this, the Kawasaki rider re-focused and went on to take his heat.
