THE recent downturn in the weather has hit quite a number of events including some high profile fixtures.
Due to the severe weather conditions in Scotland, the British Championship Lossiemouth Enduro, due to be run on April 3/4, has had to be cancelled.
An alternative date is being sought and if this is possible, it will be publicised.

TORRIDGE and DMCC has regretfully had to cancel the British MX323 Championship and the Premier Motocross Championship events which were due to take place at the Waggadon Farm Circuit, Devon, this weekend.
Club officials made a visit to the circuit on Wednesday afternoon and after much discussion decided cancellation would be the only option. Many forecasts have predicted various weather conditions for the Bank Holiday weekend but they all forecast rain at some point over the weekend.
The club felt that running the event would not be fair on the riders and spectators and would only spoil what could have been a super weekend!
The circuit seemed to cope with the rain OK but the car-park field has been the worst hit. At times like this, the landowner, local residents and the roads leading to and from the circuit also need to be considered.
This is a bitter blow for club officials who have put in so much effort over the winter and the past few weeks to ensure that the weekend was one to look forward to -- with so many riders entered it was set to be a cracker!
The MX323 round will not be re-run due to the calendar already being full with other events, whereas the Premier round will possibly be re-run later in the year, but this has yet to be decided.
Torridge officials insist this will not dampen their spirits and they intend to run other top class events later in the year.

DUE to the untypical wintry conditions and after a track inspection at 10am Thursday morning with the Chairman of Salop MC, the Wem MX Club has been left with no choice but to postpone this weekend's second round of the Superclass Championship event at Hawkstone Park. The re-scheduled event will take place on Saturday and Sunday, June 26/27.
The track is already considerably wet and with another two-inches-plus of wet weather forecast to fall before the weekend, it was considered that the track would be un-rideable for the majority of riders. Those who checked out the track genuinely could not see the track holding up for 48 races over two-days.
The Wem Club would like to sincerely thank Dave Williams, (Chairman of Salop MC) for his assistance to reschedule the event and Damian Chambers, (Chairman of the Wirral Club) for re-scheduling the Wirral event originally planned to take place on June 26/27. Without their help the rescheduled event would not be possible.
All entry refunds will be processed and sent to clubs as soon as possible. Signing on sheets for the rescheduled event will be sent out in the next few weeks.
