Jack Price takes fourth Scott Trial win in a row

Sherco’s Jack Price survived rain, sun, hail and gales, 80-something miles of arduous going and (according to the section-by-section analysis) 76 observed sections to take his fourth Scott Trial victory in a row beating an all-star cast that included Trial2 world champion Jack Peace and current British Champion Harry Hemingway.

Price took the win by 14 marks ahead of surprise runner-up Richard Sadler (Vertigo) who beat Billy Green (Scorpa) on a tie breaker. Local speedster Jono Richardson (Montesa) set Standard Time at five hours and 26 seconds while Price was the rider with the lowest score through the sections losing 19 marks.

Chris Pearson made history by becoming the first rider on an electric motorcycle to complete the event. Pearson finished in 33rd position on his Electric Motion EM Pure Factor-E, just missing out on a highly coveted Silver Spoon. Pearson placed just in front of Alice Minta (Scorpa) who was the first female to finish - Chloe Richardson (Beta) being the other.

Of the 180 starters, 69 officially made it to the finish with six more arriving out of time.
