Sheffield 2017 to honour Mart
By John Dickinson on 27th Jul 16
WE might just be into summer (hopefully) 2016 but already its time to start looking forward to 2017, with the New Year kicking off as usual with the Sheffield Indoor Trial.
And as is the tradition the very best riders in the world will be back at Sheffield on Saturday, January 7.
They will be riding to honour the life of the legend that is 1975 World Trials Champion Martin Lampkin, who sadly passed away earlier this year.
As most of you will know, Martin was one of the founding partners of the Sheffield event and he worked tirelessly over the last two decades, producing innovative and spectacular sections that have challenged the world's very best riders.
To continue the tradition, next year's sections will continue to be designed and built by members of the Lampkin family.
Tickets for next year's special event will go on sale on August 1, the normal release date.
Prices are held at the same price as last year – £32.50 for adults and £22.50 for under-14s – and that includes a free commemorative programme.
The organisers are expecting tickets to sell quickly for next year's special event so it is recommended that you book early to reserve your favourite seats, as you don't want to be disappointed.
Tickets are available from the the arena box office on 01142-565656 or via the website www.sheffieldarena.co.uk
TMX will bring you details of the line-up and trial format and all Sheffield news just as soon as it is available.
