TrialGP headed to Anglesey in 2026
By Team TMX on 29th May 25

ML Events has confirmed that as part of its new collaboration with the ACU, that it has secured the rights to organise and promote TrialGP Great Britain (Anglesey) – the British leg of the FIM Trial World Championship in both 2026 and 2027, with its nomination having recently been submitted to the FIM. Co-Directors Dougie Lampkin and Jake Miller are hugely excited and ready to forge ahead with their original plan to bring the series to the World class permanent motorsports venue at Anglesey, which they believe has the facilities and terrain to deliver one of the best events ever in the long history of the championship.
“With myself having been part of the FIM Trial World Championship as a rider for over 25 years, and still travelling to events now with my son Alfie, and Jake having been to almost equally as many events in various roles over the same period, I don’t feel anyone in the UK is better placed than us two in terms of knowing what needs to be done to create an event that does justice to Britain still being regarded as the birth place of the sport,” Lampkin explained.
Dougie continued. “Nowadays with the cost of travel, competitors especially those from overseas have the right to expect a certain standard of event and facilities. And it’s the same for fans too, as attending World class events unfortunately is no longer a cheap day out or weekend away, so they too deserve to have a high level experience from the moment they book tickets through to rolling out of the venue on Sunday night – hopefully with a big smile on their faces if we have done our job properly.”
“The setting and facilities at Anglesey circuit are simply amazing and unrivalled in the UK, with permanent access roads and garages, electricity, water, internet, toilets, showers, food outlets and a vast amount of hardstanding for the paddock, public camping and parking plus Trial Expo too, all of which will be unaffected even by the British weather. Add to this close and easy access to some great coastline sections, and then maybe you can understand why we are so excited to bring riders and fans to this unique and special venue.”
“With most of the normally costly infrastructure already in place, and with the continued support of our trusted partners our aim is to keep ticket and camping prices as low as possible so fans, and especially families can enjoy a full weekend of truly world class action along with plenty of other activities on and off the circuit itself at a price that is affordable to all,” ended Lampkin.
Whilst next year’s championship dates are yet to be confirmed, ML Events has requested July 25/26, 2026, with the corresponding weekend for 2027 too, so the event falls within the school summer holiday period.
