Day of good four tunes

PAUL Winrow continued his winning ways by taking first place in the Pro class at round four of the QRA's British Quad Endurance Championship. He has now posted four wins for four starts, and looks unbeatable, so far.
With the weather forecast not looking so good for the weekend, Tony Nash and his very small band of helpers almost called off the event on the Saturday morning as rain just continued to fall.
But as that thought was forming in the minds of the organisers, a contingent of Irish riders turned up and all they could do was try and run the event.
The course was shortened because of the conditions but most thought that this course of action was better then going home.
David Baldwin lead from the start, but was passed by Winrow in the early stages.
Winrow completed the three-hour event just over 90-seconds clear of defending champion, Steve Atkins, with Chris Cook third.
Lewis Hill won a closely fought battle with Rhyan Griffin for Expert honours, with Roger Page a close third.
Josh Chilcott came out tops in the Clubman class with Nathan Palmer second, but Beverley Barnes and Elizabeth Price filled the next two places and showed lots of the men a clean pair of heels.
Liam Ryland won the Stock class from Gary Bowen with Steve Williams winning a rather small Auto/ 4x4 class.
