HUSQVARNA recently confirmed that GP motocross racer turned WEC front-runner, Antoine Meo, will be staying with the CH Racing Husqvarna team for 2009, having agreed to extend his current contract with the Italian manufacturer. Winner of the Genoa Indoor Enduro back in early February, Meo came close to winning the Enduro 2 class at the opening round of the WEC series in Sweden and has so far claimed three WEC podium results aboard
a mixture of Husqvarna four-stroke and two-stroke machinery.
Although no official confirmation has been given with regards to which class Antoine will contest, it is expected that he might switch to the Enduro 1 class for 2009.
Husqvarna and the CH Racing Husqvarna team are thrilled to be continuing their association with Antoine into next year, commented CH racing Husqvarna team manager, Fabrizio Azzalin. Despite his lack of international enduro experience, Antoine has shown this season that he can be extremely competitive in the World Enduro Championship, in all conditions and on either a 450cc four-stroke or a 250cc two-stroke.
From the first race of the season in Sweden, he proved that he could compete against the WEC's top riders and in Portugal, Spain, Wales and France he has demonstrated that he is a fast learner and very determined.
We are looking forward to a successful and enjoyable 2009 season.
