Colunists

PORTSMOUTH MXC recently held its annual presentation at The Pyramids in Southsea, where the club welcomed 400 riders and guests to an evening that was enjoyed and appreciated by all who attended. A stunning display of trophies wowed the crowd and the club was honoured to have on stage James Noble, who along with former club member Aaron Morgan, presented all the awards.
The club would like to congratulate all the trophy winners, newly crowned club champions and Perpetual Trophy winners on the night. It was a rewarding night for Billy Hare who not only became the Inter 85 class champ, but also took away the most prestigious award, Rider of the Year.
A special award also went to VMX riders Neil Jenkinson and Ken Wilson who, for all their hard work in raising money for Aaron Morgan and the spinal injuries charity the Back Up Trust, were awarded the Sportsmen of the Year award.
Thanks must also go to Nikki Bradbury and the Portsmouth committee for organising the event, and for all the hard work they have put in to running the club during the year.
The club would also like to thank all 2007 members and families for their continuing support and look forward to seeing everyone back for another exciting year of racing in 2008.
