The South Shropshire club host round three of the Challenge Lusky British Class C and D championships at Upper Spoad Farm, near Newcastle on Club on Saturday May 8.

Gordon Lawley and his South Shropshire colleagues have planned a 12-section lap in the picturesque Club Valley. The course format will suit all classes as it includes rocky climbs, stream beds and some exit lines that take in tree roots.

For the first time the new ACU devised Class E will run but on a separate eight section course. Three youngsters will be charging their batteries in readiness for a silent battle for championship points; Archie Yeomans and Elanor Smith ride Oset machines while Catrin Roberts goes the full monty with an Oset 16-12 volt spec bike.

Entry numbers are good with eight Small-wheels, seven Mediums and 15 Class C plus the three Class E newcomers.

The big question will be who will rule Class D. Will it be Bradford's Joe Faunthorpe or blonde haired Scarborough boy Zac Collinson. There is nothing it at all between these two lads on Medium-wheels. Billy Green is on a roll for Small-wheels with victories at the West of England and Scarborough and has shown he is adaptable to all sections. Meanwhile Dan Peace may rule Class C at present but his brother Jack would love to get him. Rule in Sam Yeomans, Tom Hooper and Thomas Minta into the Class C equation at all times.
