TM line-up

AS the new year fast approaches, TM UK has announced details of its 2009 race program. Once again, TM will operate its enduro squad under the Electraction Team awning with riders Phillip McLaughlin, Gordon Clarke and Jamie Paget.
Following on from his impressively successful debut season, in which he won the British Expert Enduro Championship and an ISDE gold medal, Phillip McLaughlin will be the lone rider pitting under the team's awning for the World Enduro Championship. Switching from the TM 250E to the new 450 four-stroke, he will, once again, contest the Junior class and is eager to build on his overall finish of 22nd in the 2008 series, which included a top ten result in Wales.
The 2009 championship will see him contest the rounds in Portugal, Spain, Sardinia, Slovakia, Greece and France.
The full team will line-up for the British championship, which starts on February 22. Both Phillip and Jamie start in the E2 Championship class, while Gordon – the current Irish Enduro champ – will contest the E3 class on the new TM 300E. Having contested the WEC for the last four years and finished 23rd overall in E3 this season, all while working full-time, Gordon will take a break from the WEC circuit for 2009. The extra time will allow him to fully focus on retaining the Irish Enduro crown and improve on his results in the British championship.
Of course, none of this would be possible without the loyal support from the team's sponsors: TM UK, Electraction, Moonraker Masonry, Gannomat UK and CCM Racing, with product support from Smith Optics, Fox Racing, Renthal, Elf Lubricants, Metzeler and MotoShox suspension. The team wishes to thank them for all their assistance.
As yet, the team's paddock wear for 2009 has not been finalized so there is still time for potential sponsors to become part of the TM support team by contacting Nick Craigie via e-mail at nick@electraction.ie
