REVELLING in the superb permormance of his new D3 Racing sponsored 450 KTM Tom Sagar almost destroyed the rest of a strong 25 Expert rider entry in the Mid Wales TRA's DR Williams sponsored third and final round of the club's Hare and Hounds championship, on the England Wales border on Sunday.

On paper Sagar finished one lap ahead of Ady Smith, but seven and a half minutes apart after three hours racing in the thankfully dry forest.

The third placed Expert Rowland Morris matched Smith with 11 circuits but was almost 12 minutes behind Sagar although ahead of Lincoln Brewster who was eventually excluded for speeding through a marked slow area, moving Conan Mayman up to fourth ahead of Aled Evans also recording 11 laps, one lap ahead of WOR boss Steve Ireland who failed to beat the clocks at the start of lap 11 by two minutes, but finished top of a list of ten riders with ten laps showing on his transponder.

Also recording ten circuits, trials Expert, and recent Welsh Classic trials winner Barry Furber set fastest time in the Clubman class ahead of Craig Reynolds, Gary Wright and Shaun Holland, all matched by Sam Bates, the only Four-stroke rider on his 250 KTM. Mick Mundy, Kurt Luby and Ian Spence in that order recorded nine circuits in the Sportsman class, all matched by Quad Experts Stuart Jones, Stephen Atkins and Andy Mellor, one lap ahead of Martin Benbow and Gareth Bowen, all five obviously enjoying their 450 Honda outings.

Settling for one lap less on their three wheel machines, Graham Jones and Simon Brown took their KTM powered outfit to their third win in the series, ahead on Sunday of David Williams and Aled Jones.
