You can always Bank on Ilkley

THE Yorkshire Air Ambulance fund received a boost from Ilkley Motor Club last Saturday when former Ilkley president Nick Pullan handed over a cheque for over 1700 to Pilot Tim Taylor and Paramedics Simon Cavanagh and Tony Wilkes.
The presentation was made at the Yorkshire Air Ambulance base at the Leeds-Bradford Airport.
The American built helicopter costs £3000 a day whether it is in the air or on stand-by and is totally reliant on donations. The Paramedics are funded through normal sources. Pilot Taylor has spent the last ten years flying the machine and was an Army pilot before he joined the Yorkshire Air Ambulance service.
