CAB Screens Crescent Yamaha team update

Harri Kullas and the crew kickstart their 2023 with great results in Hampshire. Two decent weekends were had by the CAB Screens Crescent Yamaha team to start the British season at Oakhanger – Harri Kullas going 1-1 to open his account far more strongly than last year in the Revo ACU British Championship, but unable to stay with Conrad Mewse at the following weekend’s Michelin MX Nationals.
“I worked hard for this round, as the last two years I have struggled at round one and lost a lot of points in the championship,” says Harri. “I changed the winter plan and I was very prepared for this race. It’s my first 1-1 in the Revo British Championship, which is awesome. We have a new bike from Yamaha and we’ve got it dialled in now, just at the right time.”
James Carpenter backed Harri up in his 450 debut in the championship with a solid eighth overall, while Sam Nunn suffered crashes and ended up 10th in MX2.
Kullas was overhauled in both races by Mewse at the Michelin MX Nationals the following week, and a small technical fault looked a lot worse than it was as he became a mobile steam cloud for the last few laps of race one. He held on for second in both motos and lies just six points back from Conrad.
His teammates had a rougher second weekend at Oakhanger, with Carpenter suffering a mechanical in the heavy going of race two after finishing seventh in race one. A disappointed Nunn crashed in both races after finishing a promising third in qualification.
