Cotswold take top spot on a day of top class racing
BSMA Team Event 2009 was hosted by Cotswold Youth and AMX club at its Bromyard track, near Hereford. Hot dry weather was a big influence on track conditions and although watered thoroughly overnight, dust on the second day resulted in the meeting having to be abandoned.
Home advantage may just have been the deciding factor for Cotswold to retain the championship as the challenge for superemacy went right down to the wire with immense pressure from East Kent and Ringwood, each rider giving their all for their teams.
The presentation of teams prior to racing set the scene for what was to be one of the most competitive events I have seen in the last 26 years.
