Thorpe roars back

The wheels of fortune turned slowly in the Yeadon Guiseley MC Chris Carter Trophy at Dob Park on Easter Saturday, with some irony as championship leader Ricky Wiggins slid down the standings and Dan Thorpe and Ben Morphett bounded up the score sheet with a mighty leap.
Double victories at the Colmore and Carter put JST Gas Gas national star Thorpe right into the series standings after missing the Wallace Cup.
Morphett was in his element in the Washburn Valley and detached from third placed Ben Hemingway and Danny Gamble. The irony for Wiggins was that he pegged just three Novogar points, and that matched Morphett's threesome in the Colmore. So Wiggins is now locked with Herne Bay electrician Ben Wibberley for third place.
